At Lets Make Change, we are passionate about supporting learners at every stage of their educational journey. From those looking to build essential foundational skills to learners aiming to achieve their GCSE qualifications, our mission is to empower every student to succeed.

We focus on the core subjects of Maths and English, helping learners to improve their confidence in numeracy, reading, and writing. Our experienced tutors deliver lessons in a creative and engaging way, tailoring the pace and style of learning to each individual. This approach ensures learners are not only catching up but also re-engaging with the subjects in a way that is meaningful and enjoyable.

In addition to core subjects, we provide support in a range of other areas based on the unique needs and goals of each learner. Whether it's helping students achieve Functional Skills (FS) qualifications or preparing them for GCSEs, we design personalized learning plans that provide structure, encouragement, and measurable progress.

Mentoring/Well-being

At Lets Make Change (LMC), we believe that learning is about more than just academics—it's about helping learners grow as individuals. For those who may have struggled in mainstream education, we provide mentoring and well-being support designed to nurture confidence, resilience, and self-belief. Our sessions create a safe and supportive space where learners can explore challenges, celebrate successes, and develop the tools they need to navigate life with greater ease.

Through personalized mentoring, we help learners build practical skills and coping strategies, expand their personal “toolbox,” and reflect on their goals and aspirations. Each session is tailored to the individual, focusing on what they need to feel empowered, supported, and capable of taking control of their own learning and personal development.

Our approach encourages learners to reconnect with their potential, fostering independence while still providing guidance and support. By blending well-being, life skills, and reflective mentoring, we help learners develop confidence in themselves, their decisions, and their abilities. At LMC, our aim is to help every learner thrive academically and personally, equipping them with the confidence, resilience, and independence they need to succeed in life.

SEND

At Lets Make Change (LMC), we support learners with high needs and SEND, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to engage with education in a creative, meaningful, and engaging way. We work with learners who may be non-verbal, have global developmental delays, autism, PDA, ADHD, or other complex needs, tailoring every session to their unique strengths, challenges, and learning styles.

Our sessions are designed to be multi-sensory and hands-on, encouraging learners to explore, communicate, and participate at their own pace. We focus on building structured routines, which provide stability and confidence, while incorporating approaches such as PECS, Makaton, play-based learning, and fine motor activities to support communication, independence, and engagement.

Through this approach, learners develop their vocabulary and communication skills, enhance their emotional regulation and self-awareness, and build the motor and cognitive skills they need to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom. Each session is carefully crafted to balance support with independence, giving learners the tools to express themselves, engage with their learning, and grow their confidence.

At LMC, we believe that education should be inclusive, empowering, and enjoyable. Vocational

At Lets Make Change (LMC), we are passionate about helping learners explore their interests and hobbies while gaining practical qualifications that support their personal and professional development. Our vocational programs are designed to give learners the opportunity to access courses and awards that matter to them, from the Duke of Edinburgh Award to sports-based vocational qualifications and other tailored programs.

We take a holistic approach, ensuring that learning is not just about achieving a qualification, but also about developing practical life skills and independence. Our sessions identify and fill gaps in learners' education, equipping them with the tools and confidence needed to manage day-to-day tasks and make meaningful progress in areas aligning with their passions and goals.

Through hands-on learning and personalised guidance, learners gain both qualifications and transferable skills, helping them to pursue further education, employment, or personal ambitions. At LMC, we believe that vocational learning should be engaging, purposeful, and empowering, supporting learners to thrive academically, socially, and personally, while preparing them for the next steps in life with confidence and independence.
